We all have times when we need encouragement. Life is many times hard and in those times we need to stay strong in the Lord!
The best way to really go through our life’s tough circumstances is to read and meditate on the bible verses that will encourage us and help us to have our eyes stayed upon Jesus.
Often when I am in trouble I take one or two verses that have touched my heart and make them my own in a special way. I think about them, pray them and focus on them the whole day.
During the year walking with the Lord, I sometimes do not even need to open the Bible; my heart is filled with God’s word and I know what God wants for me in that specific situation. What I do is to think about the word, speak it out and make it my own.
I have noticed that if I do this on a daily basis, those encouraging bible verses will keep me strong. Through them, I can move forward in my life!
The Holy Spirit Is our Helper
God is so great, He knows what we need! He knows how to speak to us through the word and through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit always know when and what to speak to our hearts, and He has many ways to uplift and encourage us!
The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is our helper! He knows our situation and what we need to hear. If we listen when He talks to us (he can speak in many ways, but the main way is through Gods word) and gives us His bible verses of encouragement and comfort, we better listen and believe on it! The word of God spoken through the Holy Spirit is powerful – like dynamite into our life!
Too many times we Christians hear it, but we don’t put faith in it. We don’t put our trust His word, and that’s why we sometimes see no result. The word of God is not magic, God works through people like you and me, and we need to cooperate with Him!
Encouraging Bible Verses Make You Strong
Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. 1 Chronicles 29:11 (KJV)
O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. Psalms 98:1 (KJV)
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore, take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:25-34 (KJV)
More encouragement for you
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:22-23 (KJV)
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7 (KJV)
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV)
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4 (KJV)
